More homes near stations, less ‘gold plating’

New planning rules under the National Planning Policy Framework aim to allow ‘thousands’ of homes to be built close to stations, with a default approval and new minimum expectations for number of homes in these areas, as central government continues its long term failure to provide affordable housing in cities.
